Sledgehammer Games has announced the start date for Call of Duty: WWII’s first seasonal event, a Christmas-themed affair titled ‘Winter Siege.’
According to this announcement post on Sledgehammer’s website, the Winter Siege event will begin on Friday, December 8 and will last until early January. The main highlight of the event will be a special winter variant of the Carentan map which will be available to all players while the event is active. There will also be weekly rewards up for grabs, though Sledgehammer hasn’t yet detailed what those rewards will be or how players will be able to earn them.
The post also reiterates that Sledgehammer is continuously working on other aspects of Call of Duty: WWII’s multiplayer such as improving server stability and re-enabling the full social aspect of the Headquarters space.
