Call of Duty: WWII Will Feature Pro Football Players In Supporting Roles

They’ll make cameo appearances during the game’s story campaign.

Activision has announced that pro football players Le’Veon Bell and Alejandro Villanueva (both of whom currently play for the Pittsburgh Steelers) will appear as side characters in Call of Duty: WWII’s story campaign.

Le’Veon Bell confirmed the announcement and shared some screenshots of his and Alejandro Villanueva’s characters via Twitter. Bell also said in the tweet that he feels blessed and honored to be featured in what he considers to be one of his favorite game series’.

This isn’t the first time a pro athlete has been featured in a Call of Duty game (and it probably won’t be the last). Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare included a small cameo from UFC champion Connor McGregor, while Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 featured a similar cameo for NFL player Marshawn Lynch.

Call of Duty: WWII is set to launch on November 3 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
