Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles Gets New Story Trailer

Treyarch will also be hosting an “Eight Days of Undead” celebration event.

Following the recent confirmation the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles is in fact a real thing, Treyarch has now released an official story trailer for the upcoming Zombies-focused DLC. Additionally, Treyarch has also announced they will be celebrating the launch of Zombies Chronicles with an eight-day event during which they’ll will offer special bonuses and in-game rewards.

The story trailer, which you can watch below, likely won’t make a lick of sense to anyone other than hardcore fans of Treyarch’s Zombies saga. A saga which began back in the 2008 game Call of Duty: World at War and which has continued in every Treyarch-developed Call of Duty game since (so basically the entire Black Ops trilogy).

However, in true Treyarch fashion, the trailer is also full of little nods to the series’ various secrets and Easter Eggs, so rest assured there’s a lot to sift through and figure out if you’re the kind of Zombies player who enjoys that sort of thing. When Zombies Chronicles launches for PlayStation 4 on May 16th, Treyarch will also be kicking off the “Eight Days of Undead” event.

Over the eight days that follow the DLC’s release, Black Ops 3 players will benefit from double XP in Zombies, and they’ll also be able to earn rewards such as an exclusive Zombies-themed weapon camo, a Zombies calling card, new Gobble Gum, and even a special PS4 theme by completing various community challenges.
