Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles Coming to PS4 on May 16th

Eight remastered Zombies maps will be included in the DLC.

Following rumors that cropped up last week due to certain leaked retail listings, Treyarch has now made it official... Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is getting a substantial new DLC pack called “Zombies Chronicles.”

Zombies Chronicles will reportedly include eight remastered Zombies maps, all from previous Treyarch-developed Call of Duty games. Treyarch’s Zombies director, Jason Blundell, officially unveiled the Zombies Chronicles DLC via a recent YouTube livestream with Call of Duty YouTuber JCbackfire.

According to Blundell, Zombies Chronicles will be coming to PlayStation 4 first on May 16th, with other platforms receiving the DLC at a later date. The eight new maps included in the Zombies Chronicles DLC are as follows:

  • Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, and Shi No Numa maps from Call of Duty: World at War.
  • Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-la, and Moon maps from Call of Duty: Black Ops.
  • Origins from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

According to a press release from Activision, Zombies Chronicles will cost $29.99. In addition to the eight new maps, Zombies Chronicles will also include extra bonuses such as 20 Vials of Liquid Divinium, two brand new Gobble Gum types, an exclusive Zombies-themed weapon camo, and (for those who pre-order the DLC) a Zombies Chronicles dynamic PS4 theme.

Finally, Treyarch is hosting another livestream event later today at 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. EST), during which they’ll likely show off gameplay footage from the new Zombies Chronicles maps. If you’re interested, you can watch the livestream via Treyarch’s YouTube channel.
