Yesterday, Activision and Sledgehammer Games fully unveiled Call of Duty: WWII, confirming that the game will have an authentic and gritty story campaign, boots-on-the-ground multiplayer, and a brand new co-op Zombies experience.
The story campaign will put players into the role of Private Ronald “Red” Daniels, a 19-year-old recruit from Texas who’s assigned to the U.S. Army’s 1st Infantry Division. While serving in the 1st Infantry, players will get to experience iconic moments from World War II such as the storming of Normandy on D-Day and the liberation of Paris.
Lastly, Sledgehammer couldn’t unveil too much about the game’s co-op mode, but a single image that the developer showed confirms that Zombies will once again be making an appearance.
Activision will be revealing more about Call of Duty: WWII’s multiplayer component at E3 and more about the co-op Zombies mode later this year.
