Zetsubou No Shima: How to Find the Jumpscare Easter Egg

Known as the Doppelganger Easter Egg, this jumpscare in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Zetsubou No Shima is the best one yet.

After over a month of searching for the Jumpscare Easter Egg in Zetsubou No Shima it has finally been solved, and it's much easier than you think. Ever since the Jumpscare Easter Egg (Doppelganger Easter Egg) was leaked via the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s PC coding, the community has been frantic in trying to discover how to unlock it. With the official launch of the Eclipse DLC for Xbox One and PC, the Easter Egg has finally been found.

Note that you are not required to complete any other Easter Eggs, assemble the KT-4 Wonder Weapon, or complete the Skull of Nan Sapwe to unlock the Jumpscare Easter Egg. With that out of the way, here’s how to unlock the Jumpscare Easter Egg in Zetsubou No Shima!

Obtain a Sniper

The first thing that you want to do is obtain a sniper rifle, which should be no surprise considering how the sniper rifle has been a staple in previous Call of Duty Jumpscare Easter Eggs. The sniper rifle can be acquired via the box, completing your ritual challenges, or reward plant.

The Bunker Test Tubes

Next, make your way to the bunker and head toward the six green test tubes. Once you're there you need to look at each test tube one after another for several seconds with your sniper rifle’s sights.

Spore Exposure

Finally, you must expose yourself to several spores placed around the map. Simply head near the spores and shoot them to become exposed. At this moment in time it's not entirely clear how many spores you need to be exposed to, although it seems like five is the number that the community is set on.

After completing the above steps the Doppelganger Easter Egg will be unlocked. All you need to do now is continue your game as normal and eventually a clone of either you, or another player in your lobby, will randomly spawn. This can happen at any time during the match and at any location on the map.

When the cloned character has spawned he will have either your name or your teammates name above his head, which will make you think that this character is another normal player. However, when you go near this character he will turn around and blow up internally with a huge scream.
