Zetsubou No Shima: Blood Vials Explanation

This detailed video breaks down the blood vials, and what it could mean for Zetsubou No Shima’s ending.

MrDalekJD has returned with a new video, an explanation on everything you need to know about the Blood Vials in Zetsubou No Shima, and what kind of effect they could have on the mode's ending. The video details how not only will the blood vials have an effect on said ending, but also the storyline as we know it.

There's a lot to take in, but here's a general overview of what the video is about. The first thing MrDalekJD discusses is the ending itself. He brings up the "insurance policy" dialogue between characters, as well as the collecting of the Summoning Key. It also involves some kind of interplanetary travel without any given period of time, adding to the mystery of what's happened in the story. MrDalekJD also notes who is carrying what blood vials. He also refers to a clip of Jason Blundell speaking in great length from a video posted back in March, talking about the importance of the characters' travels between the maps, as well as the actions taking place.

Again, this revolves around the structuring of future events in the story. MrDalekJD then discusses the idea behind the "insurance policy," and whether Richtofen could be writing it off as something small, or if it could tie into something greater. In addition, why he would even need an "insurance policy" in the first place. We're talking intergalactic possibilities, "just in case." He then focuses on the blood vials themselves and where they possibly came from. After briefly mentioning a potential connection to Shadows of Evil, MrDalekJD turns it back over to Blundell who discusses the potential of the Summoning Key.

He explains how the Key itself is an "integral part," that could tie in events between maps. MrDalekJD then brings up a poster for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies mode, with the phrase "Only the cursed survive." This could have tie-ins with the characters from Shadows of Evil, as well as the overall story arc from Zetsubou No Shima. Mob of the Dead could also have some ties with the story based around being "cursed."

That may explain why we saw some Easter Eggs pertaining to both games appearing in Zetsubou No Shima. As we said, there is a lot to take in, and quite a theory that could tie all these characters together into one collective universe despite everything taking place in different points of time. For those of you looking for deeper meaning behind the Easter Eggs – as well as Treyarch's storytelling in general – it's certainly worth digging into.
